As reported by the Cato Institute, the National Taxpayers Union found that in 2008 Barbara Boxer voted to spend more taxpayer dollars that self-proclaimed socialist and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

And, the same post reports that the American Conservative Union also rated 11 Senators more liberal than Sanders in 2008 – you guessed it, Boxer is also on that list.

At a time when Californians want to see government shrink, not grow, this can’t be good news for Barbara Boxer. Her tax-and-spend philosophy of the last 18-years in the Senate is exactly the opposition of what California voters, in every poll, say they are sick and tired of.
